My name is Jayson Marley, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Washington's Master of Architecture program, looking for the chance to begin my professional architectural career here in Seattle. I am excited to learn from a professional design team while becoming a beneficial team member.
Qualifications: Just so you know about my qualifications, I earned by BA in architectural studies from the University of Washington in 2012. Afterword’s I decided to stay in Seattle, and I was accepted back to the UW in order to gain my Master of Architecture degree, which completed in March of 2016.
My education has taught me much about design theory and practice, and what it means to be an architect. I have gained valuable skills and practice in design, problem solving, graphic and communication skills, and creative thinking, as well as tools and abilities such as CS Design Suite, Sketchup, Revit, visual representation and model and furniture building. I have also taken additional classes in the use of Revit and AutoCAD, and I am now certified in AutoCAD. I have proven that I can learn and adapt to new programs very quickly and efficiently. I have also spent time working with an Aerospace Engineering Firm, where I gained valuable experience as a part of a larger design team, and what it means to be a team member.
My knowledge of programs and tools includes: -Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign -Sketchup -Rhino 3D -AutoCAD (Officially Certified) -Revit -3DS Max –Podium and VRay -Physical Modeling, Hand Drawing/Sketching -Laser Cutting and CNC Tools
I am a very self-motivated individual who is very attuned to detail, and I am ready to expand upon what I learned from the University of Washington and put it to real world use, and become a beneficial part of the built environment. I hope that you will consider my resume and my portfolio. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
